Matcha is a fine green tea powder filled with vitamins, minerals & loaded with antioxidants. Matcha offers interesting medicinal properties, first of all it has assists strengthening our metabolism & our immune system thanks to its content of Vitamin A, C, E, polyphenols, catechins & many trace elements such as iron which may help our defence system. Unlike other green teas, matcha is an excellent source of antioxidants including EGCG (epigalocathechin gallate) & contains 137 times more than classic green teas. This is due to the extraction procedure which differentiates it from an infusion of a classic green tea.

Known as a premium green tea powder, Matcha is traditionally a revered ingredient in Japanese tea ceremonies for centuries. Unlike standard green tea, matcha contains the whole leaf, dissolved in water then powdered - which is why it's so much more potent and nutrient dense than regular tea.

Recommended Use:

A superfood tonic, used in lattes and raw treats, baked goods, ice cream, smoothies.

Matcha’s grassy, umami flavor can be an acquired taste. If you’re new to making it, don’t hesitate to add a few drops of maple syrup or honey.

N.B. You might want a matcha whisk. If you make matcha often, I recommend investing in a bamboo whisk called a chasen. Its special design breaks up clumps and creates a frothy layer of foam on top of the tea. If you don’t have one, use a regular whisk or an electric milk frother instead. Whisking or stirring with a fork or spoon will not work here.

Care Instructions:

We recommend buying it in small quantities and storing it in the fridge to preserve freshness.
