Yuzu or Green Mandarin is a beautiful aroma part Mandarin and part Grapefruit. It has been used in Japanese culture for centuries and makes for a wonderful alternative to the more common citrus varieties.

Aroma: Bright, strong, faintly floral, aromatic citrus in the manner of Bergamot or Grapefruit, with a zesty, green citrus/pith backnote that becomes a balsamic sweetness in the drydown; a unique citrus aroma that lasts longer than other citrus peel oils. 

Benefits:

The sweet citrus oil has been said to be greatly refreshing and has recommended uses for respiratory issues, congestion issues and for stimulating the lymphatic and immune system. Like most citrus oils, it's uplifting benefits and clearing attributes can assist with dispelling negative emotions and energies as well as increasing focus.

Blends With:

Basil, Bay Laurel, Bergamot, Black Pepper, Cardamom, Champaca, Cistus, Clary Sage, Clove Bud, Coriander, Fir Oils, Frankincense, Geranium, Ginger, Grapefruit, Jasmine, Juniper berry, Labdanum, Lavender, Lemongrass, Marjoram, Melissa, Neroli, Orange, Palmarosa, Patchouli, Peppermint, Petitgrain, Rose, Verbena, Vetiver & Ylang Ylang.

 Yuzu’s "tart, dry aroma – reminiscent of green grapefruit – has a very uplifting quality… [and] can add longevity to other more volatile citrus blends, persisting well into the heart of the composition."1

Recommended Use:

For blends, massage oils, burners, candles, soaps and skin care to uplifting, assists respiration, congestion, anti-spasmodic, & cleansing

Care Instructions:

Not recommended for ingestion. As with all citrus peel oils, Yuzu has a high limonene content, therefore we recommend storage of this oil in the refrigerator and in a dark, airtight glass container to avoid oxidation.
