Ylang Ylang — Cananga odorata
The Ylang Ylang tree is a tropical evergreen renowned for its extraordinary yellow-green flowers, whose fragrance becomes particularly intense as they mature.
The freshly harvested flowers are steam distilled to capture their highly aromatic volatile oils.
Ylang Ylang is unusual because its distillation can produce several different aromatic fractions. Ylang Ylang Complete, however, is not simply those fractions mixed back together. It is the result of a continuous distillation, traditionally extending for many hours, producing a more complete aromatic expression of the flower.
The result is lush and floral, yet beneath the sweetness are fascinating facets of spice, fruit, balsam, green leaves and soft woods.

The Ritual
Add a few drops to a diffuser when you want to fill a space with a rich, enveloping floral aroma.
For body or massage use, always dilute appropriately in a carrier oil before applying to the skin.
In botanical perfumery, begin with just a trace. Ylang Ylang can quickly dominate a composition, but in small amounts it gives beautiful volume, warmth and longevity.
