Slippery Elm Gut-Healing Tea Blend
Settle
Slippery Elm Digestive Tea
Soothe • Nourish • Settle
A gentle botanical tea centred around Slippery Elm and Marshmallow Root, two beautifully mucilaginous herbs traditionally used in Western herbal practice.
When steeped in water, these remarkable botanicals develop their characteristic soft, slippery texture, creating a comforting infusion that feels quite different from an ordinary herbal tea.
Chamomile, Calendula and Lemon Balm bring soft floral and herbaceous notes, while Fennel Seed adds a naturally sweet, aromatic finish.
Gentle, earthy and comforting, Settle is a tea for slower moments — after meals, at the end of the day or whenever you feel like giving your digestive ritual a little more attention.

The Botanical Blend
Slippery Elm — Ulmus rubra
The inner bark of the Slippery Elm tree is naturally rich in mucilage — plant compounds that develop a distinctive slippery, gel-like texture when combined with water.
Slippery Elm has a long history of traditional use in Western herbalism and by Indigenous peoples of North America.
Marshmallow Root — Althaea officinalis
Another naturally mucilaginous botanical, Marshmallow Root develops a soft, silky quality when infused in water and has a long history of traditional herbal use.
Chamomile — Matricaria recutita
Soft, floral and gently apple-like, Chamomile brings a familiar warmth and delicate sweetness to the blend.
Calendula — Calendula officinalis
Golden Calendula petals bring colour and a gentle botanical character to the infusion.
Lemon Balm — Melissa officinalis
Fresh, softly lemony and aromatic, Lemon Balm lifts the deeper roots within the blend.
Fennel Seed — Foeniculum vulgare
Naturally sweet and aromatic with a subtle anise-like flavour, Fennel rounds the blend and makes Settle beautifully drinkable.
The Settle Ritual
Add 1–2 teaspoons per cup to freshly boiled water.
Cover and allow to steep for 10–15 minutes, giving the roots and bark time to release their characteristic texture.
Strain and sip slowly.
Add a little honey if desired.
For a different style of preparation, mucilaginous herbs such as Slippery Elm and Marshmallow Root can also be allowed to infuse for longer in water, creating a softer, more viscous botanical drink.
