Its aromatic foliage yields an essential oil with the characteristic freshness of the conifer family, yet Black Spruce has a particularly refined quality — initially crisp, radiant and penetrating before becoming warm, dry and softly balsamic.

The result is less reminiscent of a conventional “pine fragrance” and more evocative of the living forest itself: needles, resin, bark, wood and cool air.
