Our Bergamot BF has had the naturally occurring bergapten removed, resulting in a lighter-coloured oil without the phototoxicity associated with traditional expressed bergamot containing bergapten.

Bergamot is a fragrant citrus fruit whose aromatic peel produces an essential oil quite unlike lemon, orange or mandarin.
Its fragrance sits beautifully between citrus and floral, bright and refreshing, yet softer and more nuanced, with green, slightly bitter and delicately floral facets beneath its initial citrus opening.
This complexity has made Bergamot one of the most important citrus materials in perfumery. It is particularly associated with classic cologne, chypre and fougère compositions, while remaining equally beautiful in contemporary botanical fragrance.

The Ritual
Add a few drops to a diffuser to bring a fresh, beautifully aromatic citrus character into your space.
For body or massage use, dilute appropriately in a carrier oil before applying to the skin.

For external use only. Do not ingest or apply undiluted to the skin. Avoid contact with eyes and sensitive areas. Keep out of reach of children.
This particular Bergamot oil has had bergapten removed and therefore does not carry the same bergapten-related phototoxicity concern as traditional expressed Bergamot oil.
Store tightly closed, away from heat and direct sunlight.

Equipment:
100ml bottle & atomiser sterilised.
Glass mixing bowl
Small hand whisk or spoon
Ingredients:
3 tbsp Vodka
3 tbsp Purified Water
10 drops Lime Essential Oil
7 drops Lemon Essential Oil
6 drops Bergamot Essential Oil
5 drops Mandarin Essential Oil
Method:
Mix the Vodka & Essential Oils in a bowl.
Once mixed add the Purified Water.
Transfer to sterilised bottle.
Store in cool dark place or refrigerate.
Keeps up to 6 months.
Shake well before use.
Can use the essential oil combination to a diffuser leaving out water & vodka.
