Native to the mountainous landscapes of North Africa, Cedrus atlantica is an evergreen conifer closely associated with the Atlas Mountains of Morocco.

The essential oil is steam distilled from its aromatic wood, producing a beautifully tenacious fragrance quite different from the sharper character often associated with conifer oils.

Cedarwood Atlas is deep, warm and dry with a subtle balsamic sweetness. Its scent develops slowly, making it particularly valuable in natural fragrance where it provides a lasting woody foundation beneath brighter materials.
