LIQUORICE ROOT ORGANIC TEA
Over 5000 Chinese herbal formulas use licorice root to sweeten teas and ‘harmonize’ contrasting herbs. Liquorice root is one of the most widely used herbs today. Easy Recipe 1:
Liquorice Mint Iced Tea
Serves 4
- 1 cinnamon stick
In a large pot bring 6 cups of water to a boil over high heat. Stir in the liquorice and cinnamon; lower to a simmer, partially cover the pot, and simmer for 10 minutes. Remove from heat, stir in peppermint, cover, and steep for 10 minutes.
Strain tea, pressing on herbs to extract all liquid. Stir in honey until dissolved and let cool completely, about 1 hour. Fill four tall glasses with ice. Pour tea over ice and garnish each glass with a mint sprig, if desired. Serve immediately.

Morning Pick-Me-Up Tea to replace coffee
Equipment:
150g or 200 g Glass jar (makes 112g)
Ingredients:
28g dried Ginkgo Leaf
28g Chicory Root roasted
14g dried Liquorice Root
14g dried Gotu Kola Leaf
14g dried Maca Root
Method:
Combine all ingredients in jar & mix through.
Use: 1-3 teaspoons per cup of hot water.
Let steep for 10mins, strain & drink.
